Job Description

Core Sound Imaging is seeking a well rounded and driven Systems Administrator to join our team. The System Administrator will be a true “Jack of all trades”. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the Core Sound Imaging computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability and security of all supported business applications. The successful candidate must be willing to work in an occasional weekend or extended hours capacity as well. This position will report directly to the CTO.

As a System Administrator your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

●  Administering Windows servers (serving as Virtual Machine Hosts)
●  Administering a variety of Virtual Machines guests (Windows and Linux)
●  Administering router/firewall/VPN configurations
●  Administering NAS storage devices
●  Administering and monitoring on-premise backups
●  Administering and monitoring data center backups
●  Administering and monitoring network connectivity (on premise and data center)
●  Administering ~ 15 Windows based work stations
●  Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
●  Proactively managing network performance by analyzing and correcting issues as identified, and regularly reporting critical metrics and issues to management.
●  Aid in the development and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and maintain current knowledge of plan executables.

Desired Skills and Experience

●  4+ years of relevant experience
●  Strong technical system analysis and problem solving skills
●  Strong TCP/IP network configuration and troubleshooting experience
●  In-depth knowledge of server-related technologies
●  Effective verbal and written communication skills
●  Windows XP/2003/7/8/2008 configuration and management experience
●  Linux (CentOS preferred) configuration and management experience
●  Virtual machine (Virtual Box preferred) host and guest configuration and management experience
●  IPSec VPN configuration and troubleshooting experience

Additional skills and experience we’d like to see

●  PHP, Python, PERL scripting experience
●  Setup and configuration of Preboot eXecution Environment (PXE)
●  DBA (MySQL) experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

Core Sound Imaging is currently seeking experienced Web Developers to create innovative web applications over the full web development stack (OS, DB, App, API, UI). This position requires the ability to work independently to develop and maintain software that is part of the Core Sound Imaging product offering. This position requires strong computer programming skills that may include knowledge of the following languages: PHP 5 (OOP), Cake PHP, HTML, SQL (MySQL), Javascript, jQuery, jQuery UI. Prompt and effective problem-solving and troubleshooting are essential to performing well in this position.

Specific responsibilities include:

●  Develop and maintain software that is part of the Core Sound Imaging proprietary product
●  Troubelshoot and debug code written by other developers
●  Work and manage a variety of projects, provide realistic estimates for time effort and completion.
●  Thoroughly document work.

QUALIFICATIONS

●  Qualified candidates must be self-driven, team-oriented, and have a strong background delivering applications across the full spectrum of web development. More specific, must-have requirements include:
●  Experience building full-stack, complex, efficient PHP applications
●  Solid JavaScript experience, preferably developing asynchronous client-side applications
●  HTML4/5 and CSS proficiency
●  Experience interacting with diverse web APIs
●  Linux platform experience (additional OS is a plus)
●  Experience with RDB design, ability to write efficient SQL queries and strong understanding of relational database principles
●  Understanding of SW frameworks and the ability to pick up new frameworks quickly
●  Proven experience delivering high quality software…on-time and on-spec
●  B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Plus Skills

●  jQuery experience
●  Previous experience working with complex source code and/or scripts
●  Software testing experience (regression testing, unit testing, writing/running test cases)
