Echocardiogram Management Software

“What do you get when you combine 16 dedicated ASE members with a hospital that looks like a palace built to serve the poor and staffed by amazing physicians, nurses, and sonographers? Well, for three days you get an incredible experience: the ASEF VALUES Program!”

Core Sound Imaging was proud to be a part of the ASEF VALUES program that took place in Bangalore, India on August 12-14, 2014. We were included in the write up about the program in the October 2014 issue of the ASE’s ECHO magazine. The article talks about this “international mission that combined patient care, research, and teaching.”

Here are some highlights from the story:

The morning of August 12th began with education sessions which were broadcast using Google Hangouts. David Adams and Dr. Sanjeev Bhavnani’s talked about the use of smart phone based technology like Studycast.

On August 12th the patients began being seen by the doctors helping with the VALUES program. In the afternoon Dr. Sanjeev Bhavnani taught other doctors to use a smartphone for an ECG. Our own Laurie Smith assisted in getting the images uploaded and ready for interpretation via our Studycast software.

More patients were seen on August 13th and echocardiograms were read. Several patients received a balloon valvuloplasty in the cath lab. The scans taken during the program were interpreted by the physicians from across India and the United States.

On August 14th, studies continued to be uploaded by the staff in India and reviewed by the ASE team via Google Hangout. The event wrapped up with a celebration of the theme “Love all, Serve all” and appreciation of their host site the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Science.
