In the world of diagnostic imaging, speed and precision go hand in hand. Studycast understands the unique demands of clinicians and administrators alike and that’s why Additional Comments were built to streamline reporting, promote consistency, and empower teams with smarter customization tools.

What are Additional Comments?

Across Studycast, you’ll find input fields with a small gear icon—these are Additional Comments. They’re designed for inserting personalized, reusable statements directly into your reports, enabling quick documentation of observations, impressions, or standardized language that isn’t already built into the worksheet templates.

Key Features:

    • Type-ahead functionality: As you type, the system suggests relevant entries in real time.
    • Shared access: Comments are shared across the entire reading group, ensuring everyone benefits from consistent phrasing and streamlined workflows.
    • Custom comment editing: You can create, edit, reorder, or delete comments with just a few clicks.

Two Ways to Manage Comments

Studycast offers two ways to manage Additional Comments:

1. Within the Worksheet

Clicking the gear icon next to any Additional Comments field to:

    • Add a new comment
    • Edit or delete existing ones
    • Drag and reorder your list for faster access to frequently used phrases

Any changes made here are instantly available to the rest of the reading group—perfect for real-time team alignment.

2. In the Admin Tools

For deeper personalization and control, Studycast’s Admin Tools offer a dedicated  Additional Comments management page, allowing administrators to:

    • Filter comments by Study Type, Reading Group, Protocol, or Comment Type
    • Edit or add new comments directly
    • Group comments under searchable headers
    • Reorder and update lists efficiently
    • Batch share or revoke comment access across reading groups

Want to make a comment accessible to more reading groups? Use the “Add access” batch action to instantly expand visibility. Prefer to restrict a comment to a specific group? “Remove access” handles that in seconds. Studycast gives you full control over who can edit or create Additional Comments. Through the Admin Tools, you can assign or revoke the Create Additional Comments permission. This is especially useful for keeping your comment libraries standardized across users. Users without this permission can still insert comments from the list but they won’t be able to modify or add new ones, preserving consistency and compliance.
And if an admin needs to remove a comment, deleted comments are removed platform-wide. So, if you want to limit access rather than remove a comment completely, simply revoke access from specific groups instead.

Boost Workflow Efficiency with Presets

Additional Comments can also be included in Preset Favorites, allowing you to apply a full set of inputs (including indications, observations, and custom comments) with a single click. This time-saving integration helps reduce repetitive data entry and ensures standardized reporting across your organization.

Why Use Additional Comments?

Reporting should be fast, accurate, and consistent across your team. That’s exactly where Additional Comments shines. Whether you’re looking to save time, reduce variability in documentation, or streamline communication across multiple readers, this tool delivers the flexibility and control you need.

    • Speed: Type-ahead + presets = lightning-fast documentation
    • Consistency: Standardized language across reading groups
    • Flexibility: Customizable per study type, reading group, and protocol
    • Control: Admins manage who can create, edit, and share comments
    • Scalability: Share personalized statements across multiple reading groups in seconds

Whether you’re a solo practitioner or managing a multi-site team, Studycast’s Additional Comments feature is your key to faster, smarter, and more consistent reporting.
